Job Description:
*** 12 month contract ***
This is a senior level coordinator role contributing to the success of Sun Life Group Retirement Services business plans by supporting and strengthening a range of relationship management, sales, and marketing/communication services. Reporting to the Coordinator Team Leader, the successful candidate will also support the region’s Client Relationship Executives (CREs), Regional Directors Business Development (RDBDs) and senior leadership team.
What will you do ?
Responsible to oversee the research, design and creation of client-related presentations used by CREs including the pension committee, business update, new project launch, etc.
Prepares, prints, and collates custom and template PowerPoint presentations for CREs and RDBDs
Provides support for sales initiatives. Includes proposal preparation – research (internet and other media), sales presentation slides and accompanying documents, assembly and preparation for delivery
Performs research to produce standard reports and/or statistics (e.g. Internet and Call Centre statistics, Investment information etc.)
Prepares Excel spreadsheets from researched data and exports in a client friendly manner
Handles requests for information associated with client-related projects independently; both for existing clients and new business opportunities
Provides guidance and assistance to clients, advisors and consultants by responding to general inquiries when CREs or RDBDs are not available, including client access and password resets to the web
Prepares and executes general mailings to clients, consultants and advisors, as required
Knowledge expert and peer reviewer to the CRM On Demand tool; works with the Best Practices team to establish and implement best practices while helping to maintain data integrity
Participates in event planning and assists the Manager, Events and Projects in associated production activities
What do you need to succeed ?
Intermediate to advanced PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Outlook, IBM Notes and web-based programs
Superior organization and problem solving ability
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and influencing skills
Ability to work both independently and within a strong team environment
Positive attitude and a strong customer service orientation
Knowledge of business related policies and practices
Some knowledge of business related laws and regulations
Basic to intermediate Pension, Investment and Product/Service knowledge
Bilingualism (French, English) required- immediate manager is a unilingual Anglophone outside Quebec
College diploma and 3-5 years related work experience in financial services
Group Retirement Services or university degree an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
